Thanks for joining Fat Turkey Chocolate Company for the 3rd Annual Austin Texas Chocolate Festival March 7th - 9th 2008. The Austin Chocolate Festival is benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Annual Chocolate Festival has already raised over $5,000 for the Austin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. With the support of the community and small businesses we hope to raise at least twice that at the 3rd Annual Austin Chocolate Festival.

Fat Turkey Chocolate and several other great local restaurants and businesses contributed their time and donated products for the 5th Annual Film & Food Party Fundraiser for Young Filmmakers Program to kick-off the film festival! We had a great time at the fundraiser for the Young Filmmakers Program. There were to many other businesses to mention but we hope to be involved in next years event.

Nestled in a quiet, green corner of the bustling modern capital of the State of Texas, the French Legation was originally built in 1840-41 to be the residence of the chargé d'affaires who represented the government of France in the Republic of Texas. The Legation became the home of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Robertson in 1848, remaining in their family until 1949, when it was acquired by the State of Texas. Under the custodianship of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the site has been lovingly restored and furnished with items original to its time period. It is the oldest extant frame structure in Austin. Guided tours are available Tuesday through Sunday, from 1:00-4:30 p.m. A variety of community events are hosted by the museum throughout the year. April 2006 Fat Turkey Chocolate donated products for the Austin Waldorf School's 10th Annual One Fair Evening Gala benefiting the Austin Waldorf School. |

July 12th and August 8th 2006 Fat Turkey Chocolate spent an afternoon teaching a chocolate class for the kids camp. The children learned in fun and creative ways about chocolate, the differences between the different types of chocolate, and had a hands on sesssion decorating strawberries, cookies and marshmellows with chocolate and other tasty toppings.
In July and August 2007 Fat Turkey Chocolate spent the afternoon again teaching a chocolate class with the Austin Choldrens Museum. The children learned about the different types of chocolate and they made edible chocolate paintings.
