About Fat Turkey Chocolate |
 | Fat Turkey Chocolate was founded in 2001 by Jennifer Holberg. She began making chocolate with her mother Kathy Holberg after they attended a chocolate making class together. Jennifer and her mom perfected their truffle flavors and after making it for their friends and family, they insisted that she should go into business with her fine gourmet chocolates. |
In 2005, Jennifer and her husband Steven teamed up to launch The Fat Turkey Chocolate Company in Austin Texas. They hope to someday have more retailers in Austin and many other cities across Texas but currently only maintain a few wholesale accounts and offer primarily purchases of chocolate truffles and other specialty items from their on-line shopping cart.
Their philosophy on chocolate making is simple. They use only fine chocolates sourced from Europe and South America, premium liquor, fine liqueurs, Texas wines, quality alcohols, fresh cream and premium spices in all of their products. None of their products contain preservatives, artificial flavors, or added sugar and are best enjoyed fresh. Most of their products are organic which is based on organic product availability.
Their product line has recently expanded their offering to include specialty items (most of which can be shipped) in addition to their award winning handmade chocolate truffles.
